The video camera for the Pikes Peak Cam™ World Wide Web Page is mounted on the roof of the Softronics headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Colorado Springs has a great number of diverse neighborhoods. Every community offers a wide variety of restaurants, shopping, sports clubs and activities, award winning school districts, parks and recreation and of course spectacular scenery.

Starting north with Monument, Palmer Lake, and Woodmoor and then to the south with Fountain located 40 minutes from Pueblo, CO Then to the west with Woodland Park and Teller County which is nestled in the mountains and Pike National Forest. Finally, Falcon and Peyton is east of Colorado Springs which typically with larger lots, acreage and horse properties.

Northern Colorado Springs includes Black Forest, Briargate, North Gate and Rockrimmon. In the west you will find the original and oldest part of Colorado Springs containing Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City. The Broadmoor Area, Security, Widefield and Fountain are found in the southern part of Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs just 70 miles south of Denver, border the Rocky Mountains and at 6,035 feet above sea level.

Colorado Springs is a fast growing city, but retains the ambiance of a much smaller city. People are friendly, local business is booming, and the natural beauty of the surrounding area is breathtaking.

They offer history, fine shopping, terrific school districts, and a real sense of community pride. The area has phenomenal scenery, parks, and recreation. There is always plenty to see and do, as many visitors find every time they visit.  Many people upon coming to the area, extend their trips so they can explore even more of the beauty that surrounds them.
